THE PROCEDURE FOR JACKING UP OF QLCM (Q6015A) TOWER CRANE

www.hotsblack.com - THE PROCEDURE FOR JACKING UP OF QLCM (Q6015A) TOWER CRANE

1.1 Meteorological condition for Jacking up work
The requirements of meteorological condition during Jacking up tower crane are as follows:
1. The wind speed ≤ 13m/s
2. No Jacking up work, when in heavy fog.
3. No Jacking up work, when sliding accident may occur in rain, snow or frost.
4. No Jacking up work, when there are strong convective weather phenomena (Such as lightning, strong wind, etc.) in weather forecast.
5. The enough light is necessary, if you have to do the work of jacking up during night.

1.2. Check before Jacking up operation
Before each jacking up operation, you should check all following items. And the Jacking up work should not start until it meets all these requirements:
1. It met meteorological condition well.
2. The Mast Sections needed have been hung on the Leading-in Beam (Monorail)
(Figure 4-32)

3. The Telescoping Yoke (support beam) has been in right position and the brake-plate has been set into the Hang Boot of Telescoping Yoke.
4. The Hydraulic Pressure System is in good condition.
5. Remove the 8 pins which connect slewing bracket with Mast section, then, instead of them by 4 temporary pins.
6. The Jib balance position has been found.
7. Check the all cables, in order to avoid pulling them apart during jacking up.

1.3. Jacking up procedure.
Jacking up work is a joint work with several persons. One person operates the pump station, and others operates check the pins, cotter pin and to set the temporary pins.
1. Start the Hydraulic-pressure Station.
2. Remove the 4 temporary pins.
3. To release the Joystick of Supporting claw in Telescoping Cage to the open position. In order to separate the tower body and Supporting claw.
4. Take the Joystick of Hydraulic-pressure Station upwards, and hydraulic-pressure cylinder takes the Telescoping Cage and all upper part to move upwards. ( ① in Figure 4-33).
5. When the hydraulic-pressure cylinder approaches the down-stopping-point, then, to push the joystick of Supporting claw, In order to lock the Supporting claw into the arc slot of Mast Section stepping. And, to assemble safety-pin. Finally, Take the Joystick of Hydraulic-pressure Station downwards, to fix the telescoping cage and all upper part on Mast Section stepping temporarily. ( ② in Figure 4-33).
6. Remove the brake-plate from the Hang Boot of Telescoping Yoke.
7. Take the Joystick of Hydraulic-pressure Station downwards, to withdraw the Telescoping Yoke. During this process, you need to take care about that do not let the Telescoping Yoke lock with any bolt or fish-plate, in order to prevent accidents.
8. When the Telescoping Yoke is being at the same height with next Mast Section stepping. To move the Telescoping Yoke and let the Hang Boot of Telescoping Yoke lock into Mast Section stepping. ( ③ in Picture 4-33 )
9. At this time, Take the Joystick of Hydraulic-pressure Station upwards very lightly, to let the Hang Boot of Telescoping Yoke lock into Mast Section stepping very solidly. Then, to set the brake-plate into the Hang Boot of Telescoping Yoke.
10. Take the Joystick of Hydraulic-pressure Station upwards, to continue to jacking up operation. When the supporting claw get apart from the crane body, you need to release Joystick of Supporting claw to the open position immediately. ( ④ in Picture 4-33 ).
11. To copy this process for three times, the space of Jacking up will be enough for one mast section. ( ⑤ in Picture 4-33 ).

1.4. Leading-in Mast Sections
1. When the jacking up operation is finished (to do above process for three times), and there is enough room for leading into one set of Mast Section, you can to pull the Mast Section hanging on the Leading-in Beam (Monorail) towards the crane slowly and finally get it inside the frame.
2. Take the Joystick of Hydraulic-pressure Station downwards, and to align the lower extreme of the new Mast Section and upper extreme of the fish-tail-plate on the original Mast Section. Then to insert 8 pins and to fix it with lock pins.
3. Tear down the 4 bolts of the Leading-in Trolley, and to fix the bolts in the rings of the trolley. And then, to pull the Leading-in Trolley out of the place of Mast Section.
4. Continue to fall the telescoping cage, until the 4 legs of the slewing bracket get into the upper extreme of the fish-tail-plates of the new Mast Section. Finally, to connect the Slewing Bracket and new Mast Section by the 4 temporary pins.
NOTES: Absolutely prohibit operating any action of tower crane(including trolley, hoisting, slewing), before the 4 temporary pin are set.
As for the specification about the temperary pins (Figure 4-34)
In order to make jacking up work conveniently, to weld 4 temporary pins on the upper extreme of four squares of the slewing bracket. The temporary pins’ diameter is smaller than standard Mast Section’s pins’ diameter about 2mm.
And the temporary pins are only used to connect lower bracket with crane body temporarily. When the crane is running, it is forbidden to use the temporary pins instead of standard Mast section pins.
